Rome company helping develop a better beer
Hydro Dynamics of Rome may have developed a new use for its shockwave cavitation technology.
Santiago Gomez of Apotek Solutions will present a program at the Master Brewers Association of the Americas conference in Jacksonville, Fla., on Thursday, Oct. 8 on the use of the shockwave technology for the extraction of alpha acids and oils from hops, an ingredient used in the brewing of beer. Gomez will also talk about use of the technology to extract sugars or starches from grains to speed up the aging of liquors, including whiskey.
Hydro Dynamics has partnered with Apotek to market the Shockwave Power Reactor technology to the hops industry.
